The Stay Informed Organization (SIO) is an NGO specializing in creating awareness and spreading the word of mouth to the public about important matters affecting different societies and the public. This NGO was established in July 2004 to educate and inform the public of everything they need to know pertaining their health and well-being. We have noticed that a lot of people turn a blind eye and are very ignorant when it comes to the pandemic that has taken over the word (COVID-19). The public is very misinformed and is dwelling on conspiracy theories so bad that it is not aware how serious this virus is and how important it is to be vaccinated for it. Yes, there is a lot of negative information circulating about COVID-19 vaccines and most of it is not true because these vaccines are safe and effective.

 

Since the beginning of the corona virus pandemic, conspiracy theories have been a huge problem. Now conspiracy theories are targeting Covid-19 vaccines, although there is enough information about how safe and effective, they are people are still turning a blind eye. Misinformation is leading some people to refuse being vaccinated. People are hesitant on taking the vaccines because they believe that these vaccines are used to kill Africans as part of an age-old population control plan; big pharmaceutical companies created the virus to profit billions from supplying the vaccine; Covid-19 comes from the 5G towers and so on. Instead of taking the vaccines they prefer indigenous herbs which they are not a 100% sure whether these traditional medicines or these herbs are tested or not. They believe that steaming will kill the virus. This widespread misinformation has led to several deaths. Other claims are that the Covid-19 and the vaccines are part of the plan of reducing Africa’s population so that the Western countries can fully control the continent’s natural resources. These vaccines have saved millions of lives, prevented, and successfully eliminated other diseases in the human body. As thousands of people are affected daily, spreading conspiracy theories about Covid-19 vaccines is not an appropriate intervention and can be as deadly as the virus itself. People should understand that the reason Covid-19 vaccine was discovered was to provide immunity against Covid-19.

 

People should stop spreading false information about Bill Gates trying to control the world by implanting microchips in the Covid-19 vaccine. The Covid-19 vaccine presents the body with instructions to build immunity and does not alter human cells. It has reduced the morbidity and mortality of infectious diseases cross the world. The public should stop turning a blind eye on the overwhelming evidence provided by the Government and the health department on how safe and effective the Covid-19 vaccines are and start taking the vaccines as requested by the Government.
